I agree that it's stupid of i-mate to take money for administrating user accounts - for example when a retailer sells a device to one person, he/she registers it on clubimate.com and then he returns it to the retailer (due to laws he can in some countries). Then the device has to be re-registrered on the second owner.

You are just paranoid. Have been testing these devices for a while, both "silver" and black and these are killer devices. A *very* bright nice VGA screen.

The changes in spec are mostly from 262K to 65K color, USB is 1.1. And ofcourse the "Superthin" 8150 is not so thin..its..lets measure.. I would say 15mm (15x60x118mm) measured on the largest.
