Since the display (?) is showing the same numbers in every picture, and I doubt they were all taken in the same minute - 3:36 - it seems likely these are a water decal or somehow painted-on then clear coated to render the surface smooth. I'd guess a water decal. Very thin. Sony's littlest MP3 players use OLED displays. I've not seen one in hand, but the ads look like numbers and words are sort of embedded in the plastic, as though a permanent part of the player. Of course they're not, they change all the time, so this sort of OLED *might* be what we're seeing, possibly, though it seems doubtful on a metallic finish.

wowzers! 11mm or a slider!!!
Decisions Decisions!

at this stage looks like i'm going to upgrade to either the 5150 slider or the sleek 8150/. I'm leaning towards the 8150 atm.

I love how all the specs are the same regardless of model. =)

I don't think I will love the price however =\

edit - has anyone used a 2.6" screen here? Maybe the 9150 is worth a look too!

too many choices!

i used a 2.7" on the Atom, & it was okay, don't think 2.6 would be too bad.. keep in mind its VGA, 8150 & 9150 would have the sharpest screen of all 5

I'm having a bit of a problem with some of the dimensions, in particular the 7150 is listed as 110mm long. I just measured my 6700 which has a 2.8" screen, not a 3.8" and it is just under 110mm? I'm having a bit of a chore fitting a 3.8" screen into the 7150's dimensions....or am I confused?

The 7150 is 20mm wider than the PPC-6700 and there also appears to be a shorter gap between the edges of the screen and the edges of the device, so all that considered, a 3.8" should be able to fit in the 7150's stated dimensions. My two cents, anyway.

Well, to put all that to the test I took a picture of a 7150 and resized it so the screen was 3.8" and it measure 130mm long. A full 2cm longer than stated.

Sorry bro, i don't think you are right, i hand drawn the exact measurements on paper including the screen & it seems to me it is VERY possible that the information i-mate provided is fully attainable.

Check it out at the following link:

i included imate Jasjar, Nokia E90 & my actual OQO

What the hell is that? Sorry, I don't see any dimensions, or anything. A few rectangles is all.

I just took the picture, resized it so the screen was the proper size for reference purposes, then measured the length. Seems pretty uncomplicated, and dependable to me.

i guess u aware of the dimensions already, 110*74*18. & the drawing is the exact measurement of the 7150, if u do it this way, you will get to the same thing, but resizing a completely different phone does not make sense to me, if the screen size is bigger that does not mean the internal hardware components are bigger, thats basically what u did with ur solution.
