What's that 1 showing on the top bar of the screen in the first picture of this post?

I have a BlackJack 2 running WM6.1 and when I arrived in Kuala Lumpur yesterday and popped a local SIM I noticed the same 1 on my phone. Have been wondering ever since what it is.

It's funny, a month ago I was pretty sure I'll be getting the Diamond for my next phone and when I actually played with it I was certain...
But then the first Pro reviews started to show and I wasn't sure anymore...
Now with the Touch HD I don't know what to do - I guess I'll have to wait for the official specs and release date before making any decisions...
I played with the phone above a week back (or so) and still bought the Diamond.. It is a great phone but I doubt it will be priced well enough for me until well into next year. (even if it makes it to market by xmas)..

As far as I knew this phone was called the blackstone, maybe that is the internal (or our local) code name?

And yeah the screen was close enough to 4"..

IMO having WM6.1 on it is a total waste. HTC should wait for WM7 before releasing it.

Thats the other reason for me to wait until march/april next year. By then we should know if it is wm7 compatible..

Judging from the (computer-generated?) photos, it won't have stereo speakers, as opposed to what the pdadb.net page ( http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1469 ) have stated for some days. This is certainly bad news - after having used the in wide stereo mode *excellent* speakers of the Nokia N95, I don't want anything worse when playing back stuff while walking or while just resting after the sauna or swimming. Why HTC can't understand the multimedia features of their phones are still lacking?

Another point is the lack of any kind of physical lens protection. If the camera turns out to be at least as good as that of the N95, NOT providing a lens protector is a cardinal mistake...

Otherwise, it looks VERY cool!

Also note that, based on the official specs, it'll only support (European/Asian) 900/2100 MHz 3G bands, not the US-based 850/1900 ones, just like, say, Nokia's most phones. One can only hope there'll be a version (with a different 3G RF unit) for the US as well.
