I was in Central London, using maps on my phone with an external GPS receiver, trying to find the Motorway M1 to go up North. Guess what happens, first my GPS power failed, so I started the "navigation" without-GPS mode on my phone. Boy, it surely didn't take long before the phone power was down too. I ended up taking 2 hours just to find the entrance to the motorway!!! I was almost mugged when asking for directions in a seedy area, but luckily the window was not rolled down too much, and I was able to drive away quickly. If I had this USB charger, I would be able to charge up both my phone and GPS in emergency. I would really love to get this. Thanks.

I'd use it for those times when I have my Treo, my JAMin, my bluetooth headset, my iPod video, and my hopefully soon-to-be iPod Nano with me.

The collective of charges should not be larger than the collective of devices!

This is perfect for those times when a battery pack for your Axim is not enough - especially for lectures that you need to record that last around 6 hours and having to be selective of what you can record.

Default Hmmm...getting me out of jams?

Well I used to have a homemade AA adapter for my Dell x51v. I remember I went to Egypt, and I forgot to bring my adapters. It was really hard to find one because, well it's Egypt!

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I ended up wiring it so that it could feed my camera and my pda - saved all my photos from Egypt. Can you imagine leaving such a place without a photo?

So, a proper USB solution would be fantastic - saves me trying to wire one up myself!

On any given day, I carry about 3-5 devices which can be powered from the USB, and I also have an Energizer AA charger solutiont hat uses USB. I usually have a BT headset, a PDA, and a phone which can be charged with USB. Iv'e had problems with losing power to one or two devices... which with the phone can be REALLY inconvenient, and only slightly less so with the headset as it's a stereo A2DP set.

A charger set like this would definitely make my day easier; especially since it would ensure that I won't be low on power on the phone or the headset... both of which see at least a BIT of usage each day.

I use my Axim PDA and bluetooth headset at work everyday for different spreadsheets, inventory, counting money, logging my daily tasks and of course music when I get the chance. I also like to take my TV shows with me in case I find myself waiting in line somewhere with nothing to do.

This device would cut down on the number of extra batteries I carry, just in case, and would keep me from running out of power on my wireless headset.

My PDA is not just a toy for me, it's part of me. If I don't have it on me, I feel like I've lost something important.

I'd love one of this! I am a consultant and travelling most of the times, not to mention the number of meetings I have to go to. Most PPC phones I have (MDA, Wing, 8525, and now Mogul) ran out of juice by 4:00 PM, so I have to keep remembering to recharge via USB (slow recharge) or when I drive.

I'd use it to not have to carry all those charger deals, not only for my Axim, but also my mp3 player, bluetooth headset, mobile phone, etc. If I don't win, I'm going to look into buying one (Gosh, I hope this doesn't hurt my chances!)

Wow!! this is a great piece for gadget lovers!

I wanted to buy one a while back/

I spend a lot of time on the raod, and my gear tends to get drained of power - I use a FSC PocketLoox N560, Ipod Nano, Plantronics 645 BT headset. all need power.
I have a couple of items from Proporta - sync cable, car holder, case. all are great.

Had a few times in the past in which I had no more power
- on a plane from ORegom to Santa Clara - couldn't listen to any music
- navigating my way to a meeting, and suudenly - no power on my N560- no GPS anymore!!

good luck ecevybody!!
