GPS is most definitely integrated. This pre-production model contained no software to test it, but the hardware itself was present.

Still not yet known, though it's strongly believed to be January 2006.

I'm hoping it does too. For some people, a simple CPU statistic is what sets it apart from the others - primarily for the usage of Skype.

The backlight on that keyboard could blind you 8O Looks good though. The things the hw651x should have been all along.

For the record, the 65xx also had EDGE.

I don't particularly like this device either. I see no advantage compared to the K-Jam (HTC Wizzard) other than GPS.

I've had a couple of people ask me what the other specifications of the device are (apart from the processor speed). It's exactly the same as what was leaked by HP in August. However, due to the exclusion of GPS software, we were unable to test it.

To help any first-time readers, I've updated the article with this short note.

My sources originally told me January and then changed their outlook to "first quarter 2006" which means it may not be available until February or March... though that is speaking for the US, which was later than other parts of the world with regards to the hw6515.

January would make absolutely no sense at all. People don't spend money in that month. They are still recovering from Christmas shopping. Believe me, I work in retail. The stores are dead. It would make more sense middle of February through March.

But there are buyers like me that get (some) money for Christmas. Then I have a reason to spend it
