LOL -- More like about 3 years back. I like the stainless steel casing, but this is just ANOTHER example of why standalone PDAs are dieing. It's not because the market has completely died, it's because manufacturers haven't done anything to advance the market since Dell released the X50v and HP released the 470x!
Don't get me wrong, I love a converged device as much as the rest, but I've been using my reliable 4705 as much as anything else these days. The gorgeous screen combined with 12 GB of memory card storage makes this an excellent video player. Just think if HP had built onto this model with 8 GB of Flash memory, a game-usable D-Pad and buttons, built-in GPS, and EVDO or HSDPA radio for surfing anywhere. I would gladly carry that device along with a small cheap RAZR for phone calls. It would keep me from foolishly spending thousands of dollars on handtop PC's, as I've done over the last 2 years.  ops:
