Thanks. I just downloaded a trial and installed. Currently I'm using Time Recorder, but this one looks promising. What I really want to have on my PocketPC though is something like SDSTime on PalmOS. It has simple and intuitive interface on the calendar view, but is pretty strong and solid featurewise.

I've been using TimeTTracker for about 1/2 a year and I'm pretty happy with it. I'm also salaried by day and do quit a bit of billable coding on the side and it seems to work very well with both life styles. I think that the bottom line is also how well the user interface works for (with) me. With TTT it seems that it takes too much time to get to different functions but nothing that couldn't be optimized a little. I'm quit happy with it but there is nothing that would make me fanatical about never going away from using it like I am about PI. I have not had any time to try BOnTime yet but I hope to in the next few days.

We are working on a desktop version, but it is still several months away

It seems almost every app I've looked at in this genre makes it hard to avoid having to do at least some 'expense' related data entry because they all assume use by consultant rather than somone who just needs to document time. TimeTTracker was better than others in that respect, but still couldn't avoid some 'expense reporting' altogether if it wasn't relevant to the user's situation.
BOnTime does not include expense management at this stage which should help with this one.

I'd be interested to hear whether you think BOnTime is easy to use. Usability reports have been positive from users so far.

Thanks for your input - we will incorporate this feedback into our product design for the next major release.

SDS seems nice but I track time to project/sub project/task so the calendar view wouldn't work so great. I can spend a year or more on a project but only months or weeks on sub project and tasks. I can juggle multiple sub projects and tasks each day and they all have to be tracked especially with this tremendous initiative we have going on toward CMM certification. There's a ton of sub projects and tasks that need to track and document. It would be nice if it would let me track sub projects and/or tasks and not the project itself.

An update to BOnTime is now available. A version history (including changes in this version) is here. The main points that have been changed include:
  • - Ability to change location of data file
    - Interface fixes (date time picker bug)
    - Settings page update
    - Cut and paste jobs between tasks
    - Improved installer
