Now that the QVGA devices are coming out the old free Theme Generator that MS has doesn't cut it anymore. Here is a program you can use to make simple themes. It won't do plug ins for you just as Theme Generator wouldn't. For $10 it's a bargain though if you are looking for a simple way to customize your home screen. They have a trial version as well as other versions that will also create PocketPC themes. I have Thememaker X which does everything including the square screened 6315.

Isn't listed as WM 5.0 compatible -- I'm baffled by that.

It wouldn't really matter as the QVGA screen is the main thing here. It just allows you to create a very basic theme for the home screen and change some colors. There is no real interaction with the OS.
