Default Software to "Keep Awake" and Blank the Screen?

I'm looking for some software similar to KeepAwake or StayOn that turns the screen off at the same time to save batteries.

I'm looking for ways to save battery power while taking my PPC hiking and having it be the GPS (Recording tracks etc).

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
mabe you can use the turnoff-screen function from MediaPlayer. You can assign this function to a button. The only thing you have to do is change to MediaPlayer and turn off the screen.
Not the best solution, but its working.
Another suggestion is the screensaver from PHM Powertoys.

Greets, Axel.

SPB Pocket Plus 2.0 is just out. It is a great utility for lots of reasons, but additionally has an icon on the today screen to turn off your screen.

That being true, its obviously linking to something, but I don't know what...

I use Pocket Plus 2.0 which allows you to create BIG buttons for the today screen to do all kinds of stuff. Includes turn off the screen.
