I have been debating between "Nyditot", "Dotpocket", and waiting for the new OS that will allow landscape mode. Has anyone out there used these programs? And does anyone know when the upgrade or new OS is gonna be out for the ipaq that will allow landscape view?

id guess the new os will be available in june

It's available now if you want to buy a new Axim X30 or have a Toshiba. The upgrade is available for at least one of their models.

well i just bought a new ipaq 4150 so I will be waiting for that new OS upgrade, but I wanted something in the meantime to get a landscape view. Has anyone used any of the programs I mentioned above?

Either will do the trick but I have tried both and stopped using them, for me they were not 100% stable and it was a hassle having to do a soft reset between changes. Landscape is a nice to have but I will wait for the OS upgrade to make my life easier.
If you are in need for landscape now, one of these two apps is your best choice.
