The image above, taken from the newest version, says a lot more about the new features than my comments here! ListPro 5 is out, with Pocket PC and Smartphone editions (of course). Some of the coolest features that I'm digging are the ability to have live URLs in the notes pane as well as the list items, and the highlighting. My lists can look pretty now. Adding pictures is also nice, especially for step-by-step lists (e.g. screenshots). Ilium's site should have the new version listed, as well as pricing, and trial downloads.

Seconded. The rich text formatting is an absolute boon.

We're really glad you like it and frankly, we're excited about it on a user level as well. As soon as I got a beta copy from the developers, I redid my ebook collection list adding cover pics to all the notes.
I really like ListPro, but I'm a bit disappointed in a couple of things. I'm running 2003SE so maybe that plays a part in this.
First, I can't seem to get the images to work on the Pocket PC - they all show up with an icon that seems to represent a broken link. Maybe that's just me or my PPC. Does anyone else have an issue with this?
Second, the Rich Text editing in the notes section isn't very user friendly. There are no shortcuts - in order to set a word to bold I have to stop typing, grab the mouse, highlight a word, right-click, select Format on the menu, click on Bold, click on OK. That's a far cry from hitting ctrl-B before and after typing the word.
I really like ListPro. I've used it for a long time on both the desktop and on my iPAQ. In fact, it's one of the most useful apps I have. The two issues above will probably cause me to stick with version 4 though.

I'm not sure why that would be. So far we've only run into this problem if the images aren't where they are supposed to be. Why not drop the support folks a line ( support@iliumsoft.com or 888-632-5388) and I bet they can help you sort it out.

Good points and while there is a reason, the fact of the matter is that I agree. We're certainly going to continue improving the rich text experience.
I use List Pro everyday because I use it's notes section as a diary for home projects or work related activity. Although the new version is a significant improvement I was hoping for it to include a spellchecker. I agree with the format discussion above, I'd like to format and then type rather than the other way around (I'm referring to highlighting specific words, not all words). I also use the red, yellow, green to status my projects but find the new "stop light" version to be too tiny to see the colors even on my PC screen.
I know I'm complaining a lot and I do really like the new version but many of the changes seem cosmetic. I use Phatnotes for other reasons and their capabilities more resemble what you can do with a Word document.I was hoping List Pro would leap forward a bit more than it did.
My last whine is, will List Pro ever sync with my Motorola Q?
I already upgraded and would have paid far more because I use the program so much. Overall it is a great product and is getting better.

We'll keep this in mind when we start working on ListPro 5.1!

Maybe. Really! If your Motorola Q receives an upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 Standard, you'll be able to use File synchronization through ActiveSync/WMDC just like you would if you had a Pocket PC.
For now, you might find the Publish feature easier to use than manually copying the file, at least for moving data from your PC to your phone.
Our developers are also still looking at other ways to improve ListPro synchronization.
Does anyone know if this version does more than just file-level synchronization?
I love ListPro...but I find that its usefulness is somewhat limited in that I need to be sure to exit ListPro on my desktop to know that I have an up-to-date file on my windows mobile device.
Likewise, I need to make sure I am sync'd with my device before I make changes on my desktop.
This is just painful enough that I find I'm using ListPro primarily on my desktop (well, laptop) instead of on my device, which is what I originally bought it for.
