I don't get it. You need someone to call you to fake something important so you can leave a meeting? First of all, it's dishonest, purposefully leading others to false conclusions. Second, it shows a lack of integrity and forthrightness that business people should be trying to foster, both in themselves and others. Third, it just shows a lack of guts in dealing with others.

Sheesh! I'm glad I'm out of the corporate life if that's the kind of ********* you have to deal with now.

I ask that you please watch your language on this board. It is never called for or necessary to have to swear on this board to get your point across and we do have a fair amount of younger individuals in our audience that read through our postings.

As the text Rocco quoted said, this is generally used in social situations. For example, on a first date, some people would have a friend call them. If the date wasn't going well, they'd tell the date it was an emergency to give them an easy way out. This software allows something similar without imposing on your friends.

Yeah, it's not exactly honest or gutsy, but it's a lot easier than saying, "This date sucks. I'm outta here."

I don't think this makes someone guttless or bad in any way. Consider the question your wife may ask like "Does this dress make my butt look fat?". Would it be better to be completely honest and risk hurting her feelings, or would you tell her what she wants to hear and keep the peace? I think this program could be used in a similar manner. If you are with someone and you have somewhere else to go, would it be better to say "I'm sorry, but you are taking up too much of my valuable time right now and I have someone else that I would rather talk to" or would it be more nicer to take a fake phone call and avoid hurting someones feelings? When I am tied up with a sales rep, I sometimes have my phone on the settings - sound menu and use that to play the ring tone. I'm not sure exactly how this program works, but it may be easier than what I do now.
