Yes, TomTom has what they call a walking route which is a route designed for making a journey on foot.

Forgive me if this was already mentioned.

I have Pocket CoPilot and I can't stand the limited POIs.
How does TTN6 do with POIs?

Thanks,
Pete R.

I haven't tried Pocket CoPilot so I can't compare. With TTN6, I tried restaurants, stores, hospitals and churches in areas with which I'm familiar, and I could find all of the examples that I could think of.

Default Tom Tom Navigator 6 and HP 4705

For those interest I upgraded my Navigator 5 USA maps for just over $50 with tax delivery etc for my HP4705 which is not on the compatability list.
Part of the installation is the upgrade to Navigator 6. I now have both Navigator 6 and California maps running fine.

... a very good review. Here are a few other things that I like on TomTom:

• possibility of choosing the route type (i.e. fastest, shortest etc.) before each route calculation
• very good POI management (i.e. editing , adding new databases, alerting etc.)
• good and faster voice navigation
• possibility of adding many favourite destinations
• customization of TomTom application and settings menu by TomTom Menu Designer

It does have some here in th eUK, but fairly limited. I came from CoPilot to TTN5 as I got fed up with i sending me straight through city centres with 30mph limits and traffic lights. TTN5 adn 6 both do the route i would choose.

Here i have a wealth of independant POIs to use, including excellent traffic cameras from PocketGPSWorld

No problems purchasing,installing, registering etc?

I heard something about them banning you from doing this. I would be willing to try it as I have heard that it runs fine on the 4705 from many people.

Thx

BTW they just sent me an email stating that new maps are avalable. After going through the process I find out that it is an upgrade with new maps. I wish they would just tell me what it really is up front!

Default HTC TyTN and TomTom 6 Navigator COMPATIBILITY with Globalsat 338 BT?

I still can't figure out, even from TomTom's site, whether my HTC Tytn is compatible or not? I have my Globalsat 338 bluetooth.. Can anyone tell me from hands on experience with HTC Tytn whether this software will work together with hardware mentioned. Thx

Anyone using this on their HP 6955? My 60 day trial of the HP GPS software is about to expire and I am looking to see whether I should renew the HP, or buy iGuidance or TomTom. (I also have a version of Destinator 6 from an ASUS I purchased a while back.)

I have heard there were some problems getting any GPS software to work on the HP 6955 iother than the HP GPS software. Before I spend a bundle on a new GPS software (which is non refundable) I would like to hear from someone who actually got it working on their HP.
Thanx

Does the TyTN have built in GPS? If so, what software other than Tom Tom 6 will work with it? Thanks already Silver5!
