ClearVue does not support any sort of re-flow. You are stuck with viewing full pages in unreadable microscopic format or zooming in and scrolling around. Newer pdf files can be reformated to be more easily read on a PDA using re-flow. Repligo provides a similar feature, but with rgo files, their proprietary 'portable' format. The other thing that Clearvue does not do is search the pdf. For my purposes, that's a non-starter. I have a 170 page manual and I'm looking for the DIP switch settings for a particular parameter. I'm not doing that page by page and scrolling.
While I generally will convert my pdfs to rgo and just use that, there are those instances where I need to read a pdf, unfortunately. To help you decide how badly you need it, here are some numbers. Reader 1.0 is listed in AS Add/Remove programs as using 4,799.7M. Reader two is listed at 7,995.8M, That's 3,196.1M more for whatever benefit 2 gives you. I see better speed, and several new things I won't use, presentations and forms. The have added a print option, but it relys on HPs printing solution. That's not a small footprint to add if you don't already use it.
My memory change when removing 1.0 was 4.21M. I used 7.21M when I put 2.0 on, so it appeared to me as a 3M hit for the new version. I'm leaving it for now. If you only have an occasional need to read native pdfs on your PPC, I'm not sure that 2.0 buys you much over 1.0 except some speed. If you didn't get it with your PPC, the cost of Clearvue may be something that you should look in to. For occasional use the scrolling is bearable. To me the lack of search is not.
