I am a long-time IPAQ user who always wanted to get the next available update. I had several good experiences, too. After Windows-Mobile 5.0 was made available for the hx4700 I realized that retrofitting is sometimes better left for old buildings and not PPCs - it was a nice thought but the results were disappointing, and I don't think it was because HP took shortcuts.

This is not the first time HP does the same and won't be the last.

I remember once on a similar occasion a user got banned because of unequivocally blaming this treatment and in fact "yelling" at people to move away to more serious companies. This happened years ago but he was banned so "hard" that a few months ago (and years after the ban) the guy asked if he could use his account again, just to post a comment once in a while or ask a question etc. The reply was "no" (seems the guy was extremely dangerous to the community, or was it to HP?).

Anyway, the guy was me (as you would have guessed) and I just wanted to post that in fact I am happy that my EDUCATED opinion gets a +1 each time I see such news (and is not unusual with HP) and I hope my extreme (?) attitude "saved" a few potential users back then from falling into the pit.

Don't bother banning this account, I don't plan using it. I would either return with my proper nickname or not at all.

Be happy. Buy something else.

Dude. Let it go. Walk away. Move on with your life.

the standalone PDA is nearly dead.. converged devices are what consumers are requesting..

I have my 2400 Ipaq for sale on craigslist, and so many people have been asking about my "phone" or how good is the GPS in it!

I only keep my other ipaq to run GPS software of my liking on it. I would never touch HP again for PPC devices. Long live the Compaq 3650!!

Now THAT's a surprice, and a nice one to

To make it perfect, they would build a cellphone, and VGA display, into the 2790, that would be nice and cool 8)

OK, enough daydreaming for to day
