The pictures are there, the supporting info is there - yet unless I have a working demo in my hands, I'll continue to believe that this is a fake. Sure enough, it's easy to see why iTunes exists on a Windows PC. The application is the iPod's desktop companion, and with thousands of iPod users worldwide using Windows over Mac OS, it makes plenty of sense for Apple to support both platforms.
Now what would Apple have to gain from having iTunes support the Windows Mobile platform? I can only list a small number of Pocket PCs out there with USB-Host - so Apple would have to be out of their mind to think iTunes for Windows Mobile would open up a whole new world of iPod sync functionality. Now if you wanted to argue that this isn't about having iPods sync with another platform, but rather Apple wanting to tap even further into the mobile media market by shutting off Windows Media Player Mobile, then this would appear to be a pretty brash move on Apple's part, because wouldn't that just eat into iPod sales?
Seriously, fakers should be a little bit higher quailty.
1. His phone is in Vibrate mode, so there is no sound, lol. Even then, he does listens to the music.
2. The buttons have taken 1:1 from iTunes. C'mon, this is a POCKET version. Why would they use 1:1 buttons?
3. Apple scrollbars....
4. How much time does it take make a couple of fake screenshots, then make a quick app with a fake menubar in VS2005 with the bitmaps scrolling for example?
Besides that, it still looks nice. I want a GSPlayer/Pocket Player/insert your favorite skinnable PPC media player here skin like this
Yeah, I'm betting this is a fake. Nice work on his part, but I can't see Apple making this play. They won't support WMA in iTunes, and they certainly won't support Windows Mobile either.

The asnwer to "Why" is in Forbes this month. In their Richest Americans Issue they list Steve Jobs. In his write up it says that Apple is extatic about its IPod sales, but concerned about its ITunes sales.
So, how do you fix Itunes? Make it available, and, in Apple's mind, hopefully the defacto computer, phone, PDA, music download system regardless of the OS. You don't grow a business by limiting it's accessibility. If they want ITunes to catch up, and become, or remain viable they need to be on every device possible. Maybe even web-enabled refrigerators!!!!!

Does Windows Media support unprotected AAC files?
No, you'll need something like this with the AAC plugin that can be found here, you'll need to scroll down to about half way to see it and be sure to select the Windows Mobile Version.
Uuucckkk!!!....hopefully it is a fake. Perhaps another piece of evidence that it is a fake is the fact that the device is a T-Mobile MDA II ( http://www.pdagold.com/hardware/detail.asp?DeviceID=154 ), YET is obviously running the Windows Mobile 5 OS (by the softkeys at the bottom of the screen). Very few devices are getting an upgrade to WM5, and certainly NOT the MDA II
iTunes is plain and simple SPYWARE. Why? If I want to install Quicktime (for Windows), I *HAVE* to install iTunes!!!!! That fits the definition of spyware in my book. Perhaps Apple's company slogan should be "Apple, we know more about computing than you do." Remeber folks, Microsoft got sued for similar behavior :bad-words:
