Just a quick windows phone thought... iPhone iOS 5.1's new lock screen brought the ability for users to access the camera directly from the lock screen by swiping up.  Here it is in action.  

   

I was instantly reminded of my WP7 phone the first time I tried it.  The screen animation of the whole frame sliding up and out of the way to reveal the screen beneath is basically how the screen unlock works on a WP7 phone.  It's just interesting how Apple decided to implement its slide to camera in this fashion.
