I almost waited for this device but ended up buying a Tmo Dash. I'm glad I did. I love the small size of the Dash with the keyboard right there. I do think the 8525 is a hot device though.

I don't think i can justify upgrading to this from my 8125. Especially since it will probably be a year or more before my area has 3G. The micro SD is a downgrade... The processor is an upgrade... but that is really about it.. Same ram/rom. Not that much newer version of the OS...
I will probably have to wait for the next best thing. Unless my wife makes me get one so she can upgrade from my old sx66 to my 8125.

Was looking at the dopod 838pro [same but with front Camera] to replace my O2 XDA Exec but opted to wait for other devices as microSD and the ExtUSB connector turned me off. ROM-wise I have AKU 3 on my Exec and I was unsure if dopod would be releasing AKU3 for the 838pro... I feel that HTC is releasing too many devices too soon and that they might not be able to support these properly. I also noticed that their AP brand [dopod] was the slowest to release ROM updates... I am currently looking at the FS T830 [if I can get over the 240x240 reso] and the UBIQUI 501 [you guys featured this awhile back] I love the 501's form factor but the processor and no 3G is putting me off... leaning more towards the T830 ATM. All in all if you get this subsidized I think it's a good deal, personally I don't get subsidized handsets cause I don't want to be tied down to one operator.

What AKU does the 8525 ship with? I know the 8125 had a newer AKU than the k-jam when it shipped.
