No, no, no. You are all approaching this wrong. Think in the terms of an academic. It's for "research" purposes.

I just set up a Bluetooth connection to surf from my iPaq. Will I ever use it? Doubtful. But I just successfully conducted some research, and have gained some dubious form of knowledge.

I realize it may be harder to do this with, say, MP3's, but you could assert you're doing quality comparisons between bitrates.

Oh, and games are the best. "3D Research".

True that! I get that all the time, especially from my brother :x. Whenever he comes over I'll show him the cool new things I can do on it (stream tv, stream MP3s, IM, acess desktop files, ect) and he'll ask me "Why don't you just use your computer that's two feet away." I never really had an answer but now I can tell him "Because I can!"

You sound as bad as me! I spent 3 days downloading different programs and trying different software so i could encode DVD's to a PPC format.
So after three days of trial and error... and 5 hours of encoding... I have Starwars Attack of the Clones on my PPC.
Of course I havent watched over 5 minutes of it.... But I can! :wink:

I often use Pocket Controller to enter contacts into my e740 from my PC keyboard instead of just entering them directly in Outlook (which I always have running).

I also IM and email my wife, whose office/computer is on the opposite side of the wall from mine.

I was starting to think I was a little crazy, let alone what my wife thinks. I'm glad I'm not alone
