The Sandisk web site even lists the Wing as compatibility tested for the 8GB SDHC card.

You can see the pattern that all of the modern devices work with the 6 GB microSD card, and the older device does not.
What pattern? I am using an 8GB SDHC card in my i-Mate Jasjar (HTC Universal) and it works like a charm.

Reported memory: 7870 MB

The secret? I grabbed myself an updated firmware, from www.xda-developers.com, which has SDHC support.

Don't trash your old hardware just yet!
