There - I've admitted it. But having said so, some of the new devices, especially from HTC, are looking mightily tempting. About a year ago I purchased an iPAQ211 to replace my aging 2210 and agonized some over whether to get a converged device - this was about the time the HTC Diamond came out. I ultimately decided to stay unconverged, and the basis was largely the fact that I read a lot of ebooks - several per week - and wanted the larger, VGA screen of the 211.

But with the newer devices sporting larger screens and higher resolution, is reading an ebook on a new vintage smartphone and smart move? What do the forum readers say?
