In the early hours of yesterday morning, Microsoft awarded a number of people the Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award for their contributions to technical communities over the past year. Among the newly-awarded is our own Jon Westfall, whose contributions to the Windows Mobile community here at Pocket PC Thoughts have proven invaluable.
Congratulations on your new status as Windows Mobile MVP, Jon, and congratulations to the other newly-awarded and re-awarded MVPs.

Awesome Jon. Will you be attending the 2008 MVP Summit? I didn't know if the new April awardees would be going since it is so soon after the award date.

I'll be there! While I didn't know I was receiving the award until Tuesday morning, I did know I was nominated a few months back, so with that in mind I kept April a bit 'loose' on scheduling for that week. After coming down from Cloud nine a bit on Tuesday and regaining my senses, I registered and got my travel arrangements set up. Seattle here I come!
Thanks everyone who has wished me well, online or offline. It's always nice to be recognized, and I look forward to bringing more reviews, news posts, and slightly off-my-rocker commentary.
