Default Weather App for the iPhone/iPod Touch

http://www.clintonfitch.com/iphone/...dar/default.asp

"Living in Texas has many advantages - no state income tax, low cost of living and an abundance of culture. The disadvantage though are the Spring and sometimes Fall thunderstorms."

And with this app it sounds like he won't be caught unaware of the upcoming weather problems. If you are looking for a new weather app, check out the thorough review of this app called Weather Radar, available now in the iTunes store for $0.99 USD.

Any real advantages to this over the far more feature-filled free version of The Weather Channel app? I mean, 99 cents isn't much, but I don't immediately see any real advantage to these maps over the ones from TWC except perhaps gaining 60px of ad space.

I have both this app and The Weather Channel app. I find both of them do a great job. I like this particular one because it is radar only and I don't have to do multiple taps to get to the radar. I also find the pinching/pulling to zoom in/out a bit easier in this app than in The Weather Channel one.

Thanks Clinton. I find that I use the TWC app almost exclusively for the maps and the startup delay and extra clicks are a bit annoying, so perhaps this would be worth XCIX pennies...
