Default Monitor Your iPhone/iPod Touch Battery Life

http://www.cultofmac.com/battery-ga...w+(Cult+of+Mac)

"I'm always wondering how many Onion vodcasts I'll get though while waiting in line at the DMV before before my iPhone's battery shuts down and leaves me staring at the back of the bald guy's head in front of me."

Well now he doesn't have to wonder with Battery Gauge! Another app that also monitors your battery life, but has more functionality is called iStat. However, if you need a simple battery monitor that can learn your usage pattern and predict your battery life based on that, then this might be worth buying. Either app is only $0.99 USD in case you are curious.

I've got Battery Magic and Battery Info+. I don't really use either, but they both seem to be the same thing.

I don't think there is any actual "monitoring" going on here. I don't think it is even possible since an app can't run in the background. It is just looking at how much juice you have left and giving you an average remaining time (calculated based on device and on how you "expect" to be using it). Honestly, they all look like fancy front ends to very simple tables. Not worth paying for, IMO, since the free ones seem to use the same tables as the paid ones.
