This is my final program I needed to completely sever my Windows Mobile ties and the one I've been waiting anxiously for forever. Laridian has done an wonderful job on this program and it's in several ways superior to the WM version.
Yes, they did offer iPocketBible on a subscription basis, and even that is a marvelous piece of web technology. However, it did require an internet connection to be useful and navigating the site was a bit more troublesome than doing it with the standalone program. iPocketBible is now free to those that still wish to use it.
The only things that are missing in the first version of PocketBible for the iPhone for me are notes/highlights sync and split screen. Laridian has them both on their to-do list for future versions.
Laridian is to mobile platform Bible study as Accordance is to Mac Bible study - best of breed. For mobile use, it doesn't get any better (I own other iPhone Bible study programs and they pale next to Laridian's initial offering). The other fantastic thing is that if you already have books from WM or Windows, you don't have to re-purchase them. Everything you already own is available for download to you iPhone (good thing too since I have at least $200 invested in books).
