We posted a news story on this nifty program about a week ago (sorry the Valentine's Day greetings are no longer part of the program) and now the great folks over at Star Walk are giving away 3 copies of this program to our readers (US iTunes customers only, sorry). This is a great program, and especially so if you can take advantage of all the features by having an iPhone 3GS. To enter, simply reply to this post. Simple as that. The contest ends at midnight Pacific time February 28th 2010. Remember, if you are new to the forums, give it 72 hours for your post to show up.
And, in case you missed it, we still have the contest going for a copy of PixyMe. Same rules, just reply to the thread to enter. Good luck everyone!

Looks cool. The only astronomy app I have on my phone is Planets and thats pretty limited to only....ummmm...planets. (And the moon and sun). But it has pointed out Jupiter to me last summer and Mars this early winter. This app could point out those as well as the other bits of magical lights pinholed in the giant curtain of night!
I have this app as well as Distant Suns. Both are excellent.
On a tangential note, I wonder how many apps like this will be updated to run in the iPad's native resolution. I have a lot of reservations about that device, but if/when mapping apps (such as Star Walk, Distant Suns, CoPilot, Topo Maps, Google Earth) run in XGA, I'll get one.

Got my code...installed....AAAAAAAWESOME! Hold the phone up to the sky and the stars are right where they're supposed to be. If you have a 3Gs and into astronomy....this is a cool app!
