Default ZFS Terminated

http://www.appletell.com/apple/comm...t-for-mac-os-x/

"Apple has posted a notice on its ZFS open-source project page indicating that the project has been terminated, as quoted: "The ZFS project has been discontinued. The mailing list and repository will also be removed shortly.""

This was an open-source project, but never materialized as the intended default file system for OS X. It also showed up in Snow Leopard Server for a short time but was removed from there as well. It all stems from difficulties obtaining proper licensing according to the article. I don't know much at all about this, but thought I would post it in case anyone out there was interested in knowing you won't be seeing it after all!
