Default iTunes 9 Breaks Palm Pre Sync

http://www.appleinsider.com/article...m_pre_sync.html

"The tug of war between Apple and Palm continues, as the latest update to iTunes has once again blocked the Palm Pre from syncing with a users' iTunes library."

The latest salvo in this war, that has been going on since July. I'm sure Palm will come up with an update to fix this soon and then the ball will be in Apple's court.Â*

In related news, the iPhone Software 3.1 also breaks unlocked iPhones, so as with every iPhone update, those that are living in the unlocked world strongly suggest not updating. What a pain. Is it even worth it to those of you that have an unlocked iPhone to not be able to get the new features? It wouldn't for me, I appreciate simple.Â*

Default re: WebOS sync

... mouse ... cat ... mouse ... cat ...

Mouse's turn.

At some point Palm should just do their own music library/sync thing and just read data from other library's music folders.

Having the sync with iTunes is one of the fun items on the Pre. My co-worker uses the sync to upload the ringtones but keeps his music on his 3rd gen Nano.

Having the fixed storage limitation makes it impracticle to really use it as a replacement for the iPod.

All's fair in technology war!
