Default Does Your iTunes Library Need Organized?

http://smokingapples.com/software/r...Smoking+Apples)

"A while ago I discussed a bunch of tools to be used with your iTunes library. One of the categories was library organisers, and here's dedicating an entire post on them."

The article discusses three programs to get your iTunes library in order: SongGenie, Song Sergeant and TuneUp. I've run into problems in the past when I've moved my iTunes library, mainly with orphaned songs, and it is a pain if you get these and have to reconcile them. The program I've used in the past with success wasn't mentioned, but is called Power Tunes by Fat Cat Software. What have you used to keep your tunes straight?

I've used apps like this once before and it FUBARed my library so badly that I needed to go back to Time Machine and start again. When this happens now, I just do it manually within iTunes. From artwork to ID3 tags to deleting duplicates, I'm far more sane when I do it within iTunes.

That, and my iTunes library is actually quite stable and rock solid anyway.

As for moving your library, iLounge has great instructions for this.

That is a good article, thanks! I've had good luck the two times I've moved my library using that program from Fat Cat Software, but it isn't ever easy, this article will help if I have to do it again

Any suggestions for similar functionality on Windows? My library is a mess.
