Default Camtasia for Mac Announced

TechSmith annouced their new product with a press release yesterday. According to the release, "Camtasia for Mac is available immediately for download and purchase. With Camtasia for Mac customers can create professional and engaging presentations, demonstrations, screencasts, training and marketing videos in HD-quality video to reach audiences online, on Apple® portable media devices, and on popular video sharing sites like YouTube."

Additionally, through the end of the year, they are offering this software at a discounted price of $99.00 USD, with a 30-day free trial. More info can be obtained at the TechSmith site.

Camtasia on the PC is *awesome* - really impressive software. $99 is a steal assuming the Mac client is as good as the PC one...

Yep, it's a shame that all of my screencasts need to be PC based...hmm, I wonder how well this would work with VMWare Fusion??? I'll have to download the trial and give it a go. $99 is right in the "hey boss I really need this and it doesn't cost squat" sweet spot that $299 ain't...

Jason, do you use Camtasia for your YouTubery?

Bummer. The Apple product seems geared more towards the blogger than the professional (not that I'm professional but I would use some of the Education-focused features). I'll still give it a whirl, though.

Yeah, if you look at my "Zune 101" videos, that's Camtasia.
