Another Story Where Find My iPhone Finds Success
"We aren't surprised by this at all and expect to see more and more of it as GPS devices become more ubiquitous. Pittsburgh police last night nabbed a trio of iPhone robbers who were caught using the iPhone's "Find My iPhone" service."
The photo is actually a mugshot of one of the suspects, apprehended after the police used the victim's MobileMe account to track down the stolen iPhone. This is an example of working with the police rather than on your own was a good move, since the suspects allegedly were armed with a handgun per the victim. Of course, if they had just turned off the iPhone it wouldn't have mattered, but then again, no one ever said crooks were the smartest people around.
