Apple quietly updated its Time Capsule storage device Thursday. The high-end model will now retail for $499 and allow up to 2TB of storage. So Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster expects Apple to sell 6.6 million units by the end of the year and they still consider it a "hobby" device? I'm with Reisinger, the Apple TV could be so much more if they would only focus on it a little more. It is such a great device for what it does, and I know I've been hesitant to mess with mine in the past but I'm about to that point to try a hack or two. Besides, it is out of warranty so I might as well give it a shot.

I, for one, am not a huge fan of Reisinger. He seems to choose his topics just to get eyeballs/links.

As for AppleTV, I am pretty certain that Apple has higher priorities that will affect the company bottom line right now.

What it really needs is to incorporate a BD player and DVR . . . but of course that won't happen (see Store, iTunes)
