AT&T Broke Sales Records With 3GS
"According to an AT&T company memo, the launch of the iPhone 3GS wasn't just a banner sales day for the carrier this year but broke records for any single day of retail sales in the company's history -- including for already stellar iPhone sales."
This was a pretty good sales day for the iPhone 3GS, so I guess this shouldn't surprise me, but it did. More so for some of the other records that were also broken that day, deemed "iLaunch Day 2009" by AT&T. They also came in 2nd for actual floor traffic, first in number of upgrade eligibility checks and had the highest number of orders via the AT&T website. All this information was from a memo provided by MacDailyNews, obtained from multiple anonymous sources. One interesting thing is that the 3GS sales overtook the sales for the 3G on it's launch by noon, Texas time.
