So the news that the iPhone has maintained its head-of-the-class standings in both the company's consumer and business smartphone satisfaction studies is no small matter."

The iPhone received 811 points out of 1000 possible, whereas the industry average is 765. LG was the closest out of the competition receiving 776 points. Apple, as a business, scored 803 points, followed by RIM with 724 points. The iPhone survey was from 3,221 smartphone owners, who had used their phones less than two years. For the business survey they used owners that used their phones primarily for business use. Interestingly enough, they did the surveys before the 3G and 3GS came out.
