Apple Remote and Apple TV updates add new controls
Today Apple released version 1.3 of the iPhone / iPod Touch Remote App. The new version enables touch and gesture based control of an Apple TV. Touch controls include a two finger backward swipe for an "instant replay" and a down swipe for chapter selection.
The Apple TV gets an update as well to version 2.4. Early reports indicate that version 2.4 includes a number of minor enhancements besides the new controls. Apple hasn't posted the release notes for the update yet though. They should appear here when released.
