I have to admit that Stormchasers has turned me into a bit of a wannabe meteorologist, so when I found this app over the weekend I grabbed it immediately.  If you're into radar reading and detailed info, this is your app.  It'll find you based on your GPS position and will let you choose the radar whose data you'd like to view.  It's $9.99 in the App Store, and despite the few negative reviews from people who don't understand what the app actually does, it's quite cool and is one of those great little apps you can use to impress your friends when you demo your iPhone.

That's funny cause I'm hooked on Stormchasers too, but know zero about weather and meteorology. Too bad I live in California where there's only two types of weather...sunny and more sunny.

Ugh. I spent a month out there a few years ago. 72 and sunny EVERY SINGLE DAY. I know some people dream about that, but it gets quite boring after awhile :-)

Yeah, somehow TV does a really good job of making mundane tasks look really exciting (Stormchasers, Deadliest Catch, etc.).

Can one of you guys test this situation for me?
I'm in Canada and use a little desktop app from Intellicast that shows the radar for Berlin, NH - but it actually covers a good portion of the Canadian Maritimes (where I am).
I'm a little leery purchasing it until I know this. A couple of months ago I purchased a Bushnell GPS with XM NavWeather on it. The first storm came up the US East Coast, and the unit shows it ending right at the border :S

This app has the following radars, none of which are in NH:

kcxx (Western VT)
kgyx (Southwestern Maine)
kcbw (Northeastern Maine)
kbox (Boston)

I think this one wouldn't do what you want either... Sorry...

Actually, that might work!
If you select either of the Maine ones, does the radar extend into Canada? Or is it for a very short distance?

I took a look at the Northeast Maine radar, and it looks like it ends pretty close to the Maine coast, but that could just be because there isn't any activity a-brewin' at the moment. I think this app is probably not going to work for you but there are a few on the app store you may want to check out other than this one (and most of them are either cheaper or free!)
