We don't know when, but we know it'll be today, so when the moment finally arrives, come share your thoughts, impressions, and pitfalls here so we can all learn from them.  I for one have been clicking the Check for Update button more than any reasonable human being should but I have a feeling the update won't make it here before I have to leave for work.

The Guardian newspapers tech twitter says 10am California time. Not sure how reliable that is though.

10am Pacific makes sense. Everything else (WWDC, for example) tends to start at that time. It's gonna be a long morning.

Whatever the launch time turns out to be, doesn't mean we won't keep furiously clicking the "Check for Update" button until it drops. :-P

O2 are telling customers in the UK it will be available after 6pm UK time - that ties in with the 10am California time thing.

Good to know but odd. Last time I updated I did it first thing in the morning on the day of the release. Sign of the things to come when Steve Jobs is not around???

Perhaps they want to know that online call centers are up and ready for the calls that will come in.

A poster on MacRumors claims that Apple Support just told him that "the 3.0 update will be released at 12 noon in your local time zone".

That would seem odd to me that iTunes would check your local time zone before allowing a download link....

And even odder when it is nearly 1600 here in the UK and we haven't seen anything
