Upgrade went without a hitch! I have to admit I was worried about my apps, pics, etc. - They were all intact after the install completed. I was a very happy camper!!! :-)

I've upgraded 3 iPhones so far (one was done last week using the Gold Master seed which apparently is the same one released yesterday), and all worked without a hitch. I decided to go ahead and Restore them all and then recover from backup rather than just try the Update in place (which also works based on my experience with the beta builds)- takes longer since you have to resync all your media, but it's kind of like defragmenting your hard drive: I think it helps get rid of weird issues.

2 complaints:
1. The AutoLock "Never" option disappears as soon as you enable an Exchange account
2. They buried the Fetch New Data setting one level deeper under Mail, Contacts, Calendars making it just that much harder to change it (which I do at least twice daily since I want push on during the day but want all push & fetch disabled at night).

Exchange requires a mandatory lock on the phone; it happens with previous release of the iPhone too.
I am not sure if it was a requirement introduced by Exchange 2007 or previous releases had it too.

Huh? What does this have to do with how long the phone can stay awake without going to sleep? And I've been using Exchange with iPhone OS 2 since July 2008 and using the "Never" setting every day. With iPhone OS 3 the "Never" setting disappears (at most you can set your device to stay awake for 5 minutes) when using Exchange. Clearly this is a bug, as Exchange has never had this problem before (and I've used both Exchange 2003 and 2007 over the past year with OS 2).
