Default Nano Shoots Color

http://www.cultofmac.com/check-out-...retty-fun/16257

I seem to be on a Nano kick today. Apple ads are so well done I like to share them. Enjoy.

And if you are curious about a head to head competition with some of the pocket camcorders and the nano, PCWorld has a comparison test posted on their site.

Best part about this is the absolute belly laugh I get thinking that over half of the shots of fingers holding Nano would have resulted in a completely obscured lens (really great shots of blood pumping through veins if only they'd implemented that x-ray feature). The rest probably would've picked up a blurred finger on the left/bottom of the frame. This is one of the most ill-conceived, under-engineered features Apple has ever put into a device. Very un-Apple and an embarrassingly lame feature for Jobs to "one-more-thing." Barring a special event, 2009 was an amazingly slow year for Apple "innovation" (except for obnoxious commercials about innovation, of course).

The Nano shoots *awful* video. I was expecting more from Apple...they usually tend to execute features pretty well!

I wasn't too impressed with it either, and I don't use my iPhone video for anything other than spur of the moment things either, its not bad but its not great...If I know I'm going to video, I bring along the Sony :-). I would like to give one of the Kodak or Flip cameras a try though

There's a saying "The best camera for the occasion is the one you have with you at the time" - having a device that is always with me and provides passable video (I dont expect it to be as good as a dedicated VidCam) has IMO been invaluable - all those moments with my grandson - or the family that I know I would otherwise have missed!
