Macworld Pumpkin Carving Contest
"Enjoy your Macworld editors' attempts at Apple-themed pumpkin carving. Think you can do better? You're probably right! Submit photos of your own creations to letters@macworld.com." 
This one was done by Jason Snell, and there are many more examples from the rest of the staff. No prize other than possibly getting your pumpkin photo in the magazine, but they have thrown down the "can you do better" gauntlet, so are you up for it?
