iPods were down, but iPod Touch revenue doubled year over year. Just as that market is saturated, Apple figured out a way to keep their advantage.
Truly unreal results. I recall reading all sorts of people guessing that, without a Netbook, Apple would struggle in a down economy this year, losing PC market share, etc. That sounds so logical, but it turned out that they were smart not to dive down to compete in a low-margin market, thriving instead when everybody else's non-Netbooks struggle.
Ok, that said, I wonder what's going to happen this quarter, with the release of Win 7. How many people will pull the trigger on new Windows computers now that 7 is here? It'll be interesting to see where things go.
