So did anyone catch this this weekend?  I saw the relevant clips and it was pretty funny.  I've come to terms with the fact that the portrayal of Apple fans here is pretty much what most non-Apple people think we all are so I can laugh at this sort of thing.  Anyone else amused, or are you tired of the stereotypes?

I've always wondered where the over-the-top hatred comes from. It's a product line. No more no less. Not interested? Then don't buy one but to go out of your way to hate on it is irrational. I find it amusing that the most vial anti Apple stuff usually comes from people that have never used one. The depiction in the video was funny.

I completely agree. Most people can see the pluses and minuses of both. I for example am a Mac guy but I know where Windows has its place. I'd prefer not to use it if I can avoid it, but I also understand that it's not the end of the world if I have to. For some reason, we as Mac users have a reputation as being some wide-eyed drooling weirdos who worship Steve Jobs and accept him as our lord and savior, yet despite how prominent that stereotype is, I don't actually know any Mac users who are actually like that. Okay, maybe a few, but they're the exceptions not the rule.

In the end, I think most people just want to use the platform they prefer and be left alone. That, to me, is the way it should be.
