Default More WM Community Blogs, Wikis

It's always great to see new resources come online. Two recently caught my attention:
  • HowardForums has started a Pocket PC Phone Wiki, with lots of links back to discussions in the forums as well as other sites.
  • PocketNow has started a Windows Mobile 5.0 Fix Site to keep track of what's compatible and what's not. The list is a little short right now, but hopefully we'll be seeing more content before long.

That's cool

I started a Smartphone + Pocket PC wiki back in August, and haven't had much help. MoDaCo wasn't interested in giving me a mention in the news, and MS Mobiles didn't reply either. So I'm not doing too well right now... then again I haven't really pestered any news sites into giving me a quick note...

So I've worked pretty much alone for now, a couple of friends writing a word or two but otherwise alone.

If youre interested it's at http://lavaburn.com/wiki - pretty small at the moment and hasnt had an update in a little while but I still want to keep it going.

Also I'm new here so hi... but I read your site every day - I think its probably the best PPC news site. I'm a member over at Aximsite too.

Hey Janak,

Thanks for the plug for the Howard forums Pocket PC wiki. In only its first couple of days of public viewing we have seen a lot of interest, and added info.

wikis are so cool for products like Pocket PCs. They are volatile, with new hardware, and software appearing all the time. It is very difficult for something like a normal closed FAQ to stay current. A wiki being open to the public makes it very easy when even small contributions by community members is added because there can be so many people inputting content.
