Default And the Winner of the Nokia 3650 is...

The winner of the Nokia 3650 is none other than our very own Foo Fighter! I did a random drawing from 505 entries, and he was random entry #49, and the winner of the Nokia 3650. Some further good news on the phone: it's not SIM-locked, and it comes with a 16 MB MMC card for applications. Enjoy it Foo!

Special thanks to Spb Software House for donating the phone, to Nokia for letting me win it in the first place, and to Handango for hosting such a great conference where almost everyone walked away with a prize. Woo hoo! If you'd like to keep up to speed on what Spb Software House is doing, sign up for their free newsletter.

Since 504 of you didn't win, you may want to buy the phone from Amazon. You can sign up with AT&T and get $20 back to you after rebates (yes, you'll actually profit from the deal), or sign up with T-Mobile and get it for free. [Affiliate] Both require service activations of course.

Thanks to everyone for entering, and remember we have some great contests coming! In fact, you might even hear about them today if I can get the very long prize list finished.

Congrats Foo!

BTW, just out of curiosity, what was the answer? I said 24, but I thought it might have been 19...

Congratulations Foo.

Don't meen to sound dumb, but in regards to the question for the contest, I submitted there were 19 applications on SPB's website, but I'm not sure that was correct, as some of those were simply suites of applications already counted. Just so I know whether I even made it into the random drawing, was the answer 19 applications correct? Thanks for the contest!

Default Cool prize -- Great phone

It is hard to confess this on Pocket PC Thoughts, but I fell for the Nokia 3650 when I first saw it. The large, bright color screen was what caught my attention. I think this is the first smartphone that is in the phone-style form factor yet has a large enough screen that is easily readable. This is the part that is hard to confess- I like it so much I sold my iPAQ 5455. Now I have just one gadget that does it all. I'd be happier if the OS was Microsofts and not Symbian, but I will make do until the MS Smartphones become more widely available. I've had no problems syncing my 3650 with Outlook using Nokia's PC Suite and Bluetooth. Believe it or not, ActiveSync is easier to use and set-up, but the phone and PC work together well. Enjoy your 3650. And check out some of the phone camera blogs. Some folks are taking darn good shots with these things.

Goldkey-- I got all everything you got, plus 5 more from the Development section. The Spb site seems to be down right now (at least from my end), otherwise I'd list what I found...

The correct answer was 19. I'm always surprised at the lengths people go to in order to find the answer. I just went to the Spb site, clicked on "products", and counted what was there. :-)
