Default We're Giving Away 10 Proporta Styli

Proporta has a line of very handy replacement styli that fit the Dell Axim, HP 1910 or XDA lines of devices. They fit into the normal stylus slot on the Pocket PC, but combine the functionality of a stylus, reset pin and ball point pen all in one sleek design.

Proporta wants to give one of these slick styli to ten lucky Pocket PC Thoughts readers. We want to make sure that only people who can actually USE one of these enters for this giveaway, so we've got a few more rules than usual. To be eligible to win, you must follow all of these rules explicitly:

1. Send an e-mail to "brad at pocketpcthoughts dot com"
2. Include "Proporta Stylus" in the Subject line
3. In the body of the e-mail include the serial number from the back of your Axim, 191X or XDA (I won't use this for anything other than to confirm your device type)
4. Entries must be recieved before 1:00am MST Wednesday, July 30, 2003.

Sometime after Wednesday morning, we'll randomly select ten winners from among all of the [valid] entrants.

You may only enter one device. You may only enter once. You may not question the selection of the winners. You may not whine. Pocket PC Thoughts is not a democracy, and members of the editorial team reserve the right to change our minds and these rules indiscriminantly.

NOTE: Please spell "Proporta Stylus" correctly. Otherwise, my state-of-the-art winner selection system doesn't work correctly (and you might not be entered into the contest).

Do paying members have to do this or are we automatically registered?

Can I use the serial number from my 2215 and get a replacement stylus for that? :?:

As we've pointed out for other contests, for many giveaways subscribers are automatically eligible. For some special giveaways (particularly those involving device-specific hardware) and those for which we post specific entry rules, you must follow those specified rules in order to be entered.

Besides, if you don't send me an e-mail, how would I know you have a compatible Pocket PC?

It does not say I can't ask a question, only that I can't question the selection of winners. And I surely was not whining. In fact I was trying to make sure I didn't violate the rule that I can only enter once in the event I was already automatically entered.

I think this is the first contest (I may have missed one) since the subscription service came on board. So, I think it was a fair question.

But, you are absolutely right, if my brain was half functioning, I should have thought that you would need to know the device/serial number. ops:

My entry e-mail is on its way!
