Default Webcast: Writing Home Screens For Smartphone 2002

http://www.microsoft.com/usa/webcasts/upcoming/1582.asp

The home screen of a Smartphone 2002 device is quite powerful, far more so than the Today screen of a Pocket PC. If you are interested in learning more about it, you should enroll in this web cast scheduled for 2:30-4:00pm Eastern Time today!

"Want to learn more about customizing home screens on Smartphone 2002? Wonder what the relationship is between layouts, color schemes, and background images? Interested in more information on the plug-ins included with Smartphone 2002? Want to write your own custom plug-in to display data on home screen? We'll cover all this and more with a brief set of slides, followed by a live Q&A session."

If the front page on a smartphone is powerful, it's the only bit that is.

Mine won't play mp3's above 160kb, VBR mp3's, or mp3's with any kind of unusual character in the name, any of these will lock it up, my 30 dollar Ericsson, clip-on mp3 player for the T68i cruises through all these mp3's.
:? If the phone has to communicate with the cell site it breaks up the playing, if a call comes in, you have to switch back to the player and start it again, the Ericsson starts again automatically.
I will not bore you with how much more processor/memory the SPV has than the T68i, quite obviously they are not in the same league, yup the T68i's software must be 10 times more efficient.
