No, this isn't a bad Dracula movie, this is a rather unusual Pocket PC software product that allows you to do some pretty odd things with the UI. I'm not sure if I like what I see in the screen shot, but I'll all for giving people more choices for UI. <!>
"You ever get bored of your interface on your PocketPC So plain and bland Why not decorate it and make it look like it is running Windows 98/2000, arrange shortcuts and icons...drag windows around ..move them around, no more fixed positions anymore It also allows you to explore your PDA with this interface Make folders on your desktop. Delete those items and you know anything on your desktop is just a shortcut Making shortcuts is as easy as using its browser and copy an item, then paste it wherever you want on the desktop or in folders you make or stick it in you start menu or program menu it offers you a start menu ON THE BOTTOM... -now you can see thumbnails --easy to use for computer illiterate people you do not need to know much -- Use whatever pictures you want -- Make your own icons easily..."
Looks interesting, but I'm not going to dump Dashboard until I hear from others -- looks very interesting though! I wonder if this will greatly slow down the PPC?!
Hehe, didn't we already try this with Windows CE 2.11?
That is what I was thinking. I guess to each his own, and this does show the level of customization possible on the Pocket PC. Hmmm.... Mac OS X interface anyone?
Give it to Davie, he'll try anything....... One word BUGS I can't even get it to open properly on my HP567. So I can't tell you if it does what it says. I believe in the authors description he even mentions that it could have a few bugs..... Doesn't make me want to run out and pay for it.
I have an Ipaq 3850, I installed it according to instructions, reset my device, nothing, not a darn tooting thing happened. Even went to the directory where it was installed and tried launching the executable directly.
Hi Guys, I've tried it. It's really cool, but, unfortunately, equally slow. Maybe on XScale it'll be good, but on my iPAQ (H3660) it wasn't worth it.
All credit to the developer, it was very similar to 98/XP but I don't think the video/CPU is up to it.
Daniel
