Default Swedish national mobile awards

http://www.mobil.se/nyheter/visa.asp?id=5217&sid=1

The Oscars of the Swedish mobile products market was recently held in Stockholm. These are some of the winner that I thought might interest you!

• Best mobile phone: Ericsson T68
• Best PDA: Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC 3870
• Best mobile service: Telia Friendfinder (person locator using mobile network)
• Best PDA assecory: Bluetooth card for Palm

Furthermore, Microsoft Sweden launched the Pocket PC Phone Edition a couple of days ago. At the event some journalists got to borrow the HTC manufactured Pocket PC, known as the xda is some countries. The xda is branded as "Joey" in Sweden by Carrier Devices. I am already seeing positive reviews in Swedish magazines.

what does it mean? (it is about T68). I am just curious.

By the way: how much (in EUROs please!) will "Joey" (i.e. XDA) cost in Sweden? Will it be sold also without SIM-lock?

"Första lilla mobiltelefonen med färgskärm som dessutom innehåller en mängd roliga finesser." means "The first small mobile phone with color screen and lots of fun features."

I don't know what Joey will cost or whether or not it will be sold without a SIM lock. I will post here as soon as I find out!

Can't wait until the T68i gets to the US this summer (also for $200). Besides more memory and MMS out of the box, I read it will also have e911 (but I don't know the specific details, such as whether it's also a hybrid satellite/cellular like Qualcom's MSM chipset). Amazing how they can keep cramming even more electronics into it.

I'm now kinda leaning more towards preferring the Toshiba e740 w/ the built-in Bluetooth, especially since I read from Brighthand about Transplant's upcoming Bluetooth NMEA GPS receiver at www.transplantcomputing.com (not to mention MS's Bluetooth keyboard/mouse, etc).

Default Did you notice 64 MB?

The link takes you to a page citing the normal info about the XDA, but did you notice the difference on this one?

"32 or 64MB RAM"

First time I think I've heard of a carrier offering one with 64 MB... very interesting. Will Voicestream follow in July in the US?

I saw a really nice samsung colour flip phone the other day. Screen was much nicer than the T68, the only problem is the connectivity, I couldn't bring myself to buy a phone without bluetooth these days. I didn't even have IR!

I (finally) got my bluetooth headset the other day (HBH-15) it totally rocks! Now all I need is a cheap/simple USB bluetooth adapter for my TiBook and I'll be set.
