Spb's Pocket PC Survey
"Spb Software House the leading Pocket PC software developer has started "Spb Pocket PC Survey" a global survey for the Pocket PC community. All survey participants will be entered into a drawing to win either a HP iPAQ hx4700 or 1 of 3 $100 PocketGear software certificates. Contributions to the Pocket PC community, like Pocket PC Developer Network and Spb Benchmark, are a big part of Spb Software House's strategy. In keeping with this vision, Spb will make the statistical results of this survey publicly available." That seems fair enough and Spb plan to make this an annual survey to track changes in the Pocket PC community from year to year. You can be sure we'll bring you the results when they are in. I filled out the survey just now and it doesn't take too long. The questions are reasonable enough, focusing on software, how you use your Pocket PC, likes and dislikes about Pocket PCs etc. The survey is open from September 6th - 17th and you can complete it here. Happy form ticking and good luck with the hx4700.

Welcome Superdork. I would not personally read to much into those dates. I doubt there is a connection. Spb haven't made any promises about when you will get the device.

I recall something about at least 30 days after the contest closes. That may just be for the PocketGear prizes, though.

That's right. We have our Windows Mobile User Group tomorrow (8 Sept) and HP is the sponsor this time - we have a hx4700 to give away, but to be delivered later...

I just filled out the survey. It's very nicely made, and it makes good use of Javascript. I was pleased when I filled it out... as weird as that sounds.

I have to agree with others here: the survey was well made and had a good layout structure which made it enjoyable to fill out. (I.e. not a dreadful place-a-cross-somewhere-in-this-minefield-of-checkboxes.) Well done once again SPB!

I filled in the survey, and noticed, though it being sold as a survey of the state of the Pocketpc world, its actually just a Spb consumer survey, with a good portion of questions focussed on their products.
That is fine, but I think they are selling it dishonestly.
