Skooba Design Extreme Sale
"At least once a week this holiday season, we will be sending out one-day only, one-product only, “extreme” deals—half price or better—on a hot item from the award-winning Skooba Design collection. These will be private offers sent ONLY to those of our customers and newsletter members who specifically elect to receive them. Everyone who signs up will also be entered in a drawing to win a $500 Skooba Design shopping spree. No purchase necessary, drawing to be held on February 1, 2008." I'm a big fan of Skooba Design (formerly RoadWired) products: they're always well-designed, very durable, and reasonably priced. Getting any of their products at 50% off (or more!) is even better.

Am I signing up with this reply or am I already signed up. I think I am because I got the email and that's kind of what your email implied. I'm slow.
Totally cool stuff though. Register me for that shopping spree. Dang! Nice stuff though.

I'm hoping the Podzilla goes on sale at 50% off - I'll jump on it. I already have the Pod which I have used for a couple of years to carry all my Dell Axim X50v accessories and my small camera. The Podzilla would be for my HTC Advantage and a larger camera plus all my 'stuff'!
As it is, the Pod and Podzilla are priced at 35% off at the website.

I've often thought about getting either one, but couldn't decide which one would be the best fit. Any advice?

It all depends on what you want to put in it. I always carry the Axim in a separate case on my belt (Sena Cases). So all the accessories for it go in the Pod. Center had my small Olympus Camera, Think Outside Keyboard, some pens & pencils. The Keyboard is just a bit too wide for the case so it is offset a bit but the camera goes in OK. The left outside Pocket has an external antenna for my CF GPS unit, good Javo earbuds and a Roadwired modem cable with 4 SD card slots still unused. Center outside Pocket has 4 spare AA batteries, Boxwave car/AC/Mini-sync charging set and a spare card for the camera. The right outside Pocket has my CF modem and CF GPS cards, SD card with GPS maps, a small spare SD card and a spare CF Card. All 3 cards are in plastic boxes as well as 2 toothpicks in case I can't get one at a restaurant. In one of the stretch pockets on the outside I have a spare Axim battery. There is still room for a couple of more small items hin stretch pockets.
If I get a Podzilla it would be for the larger HTC X7501 Advantage but I actually need less stuff to carry around with it as it has built-in GPS and phone as well as the WIFI/Bluetooth and the battery last 4-6 hours. I have yet to run it down < 40% in a day's usage. So, I might not even bother to get a separate bag for it.

Thanks, Brad. I appreciate the feedback. Sounds like you've made good use of the Pod. Do you carry it around most places and if so, is there a shoulder strap or just carry it with the top handle?

Oh yes, Brad, I just looked and with the current promotion they sent out today of 25% off current sale prices plus free shipping, 25% + the already current discount on Podzilla puts it at about 47.5% off ($36.73)...not too bad at all! The e-mail has the special code you'll need to use to get that additional discount and it specifies that it DOES add on top of current discounts on the site.

Actually I only use the Pod with the Axim on trips or if I am going to be at a genealogy library where I need the ThinkOutside keyboard. The Pod was with me on 24-day trip to the UK this summer and goes through security with me - no problems. I take it any time I am going to be out of town. I will probably just use the Podzilla for the same - out of town trips should I get one.
The shoulder strap is used all the time and comes with it. There is also a carrying handle on top for shifting it around.
Please check for a private message from me...

Thanks, Brad. Helps to get a better picture of how I might use this if I get one at some point.
